SOUTHERN OREGON HARVEST SHOOT

Welcome! Thanks for checking out this year’s photo tour, which focuses on Southern Oregon.
Here are the approximate dates for each region {weather-permitting}:
Week of August 25
Week of September 22
Week of October 20
These packages, detailed in the tabs below, are specifically designed to address brand-building elements – the types of images you want to add to your collection for print, web & social: everything from reinforcing your branding, to editorial-style pictures, to product & your scenic environmental.
Each package will deliver a minimum of 10 –15 edited & sized images you can use in any medium & in perpetuity for social, print, & website (this means you have the rights to use the images for years without having to buy more image rights).
Here are suggested packages:
Editorial Photography
People+land | People+harvest | People+customers | People+your wine
This shoot will take place on your property with great shots of your crew, your staff, your styling of props, people, wine. While we’re at it, we’ll capture a romantic vista, sweet detail, or a great view of the vineyard. These types of photos go a long way to telling your story & can be used in magazine articles, print brochures, & on your website & socials. (Photos featured in print must list Grace Studio as photo credit.)
Package Price :: $300
Creative idea :: Partner with a neighboring winery for all your editorial at one of your locations & split the cost.
Brand Photography
Signage & Identifiers | Detail shots (pours, grapes, architectural)| Tasting-in-action
Again, a shoot on your property with your direction of what you’d like to feature, & any people-in-the-background you think would add flavor.
Package Price :: $300 – $600 (see below)
Creative idea :: Go Big: Bring neighbors, caterers & up to 3 neighboring wineries for a grand, outdoor table-in-the-vineyard (or on the lawn) afternoon/evening shoot, with candles & entreés, wines, diners, & dogs. Split the cost among you
Process Photography
Field activities | Grape sorting | Wine blending & Thiefing | Bottling
You may already have images of your harvest, but perhaps your process is more streamlined now. Perhaps your winemaker has changed & could be shown working on your wine blends.
Think: Branding. The harvest process is a ‘romantic’ notion in the minds of your wine buyers – photos of punchdown, not so much. Showing care of the fruit or bottling is another branding emphasis.
Package Price :: $300
Creative idea :: Work with your winemakers to craft a storyline, from vine to wine & design a slideshow for your website.
Product Photography
Your wines | Your cheeses | Your accompaniments
But mostly your wines. On-premise bottle/product shots would be shot in their native ‘environment’, which can be quite fun. If you want white background only, please provide an indoor location with good, even lighting. (These finished photos will be white background AND transparent background in web & print resolution)
Price :: $20 per bottle or $300 for a styled shoot (see below)
Creative idea: Partner with a chef, caterer or restaurant to style your wine, share the photos of wine & accompanying food & split the cost between you.
Videos & Aerials
These treatments are not part of a package price & require more planning to execute. These can be part of your on-site shoot – we’ll just need to plan carefully & have our storyboards (frames that show what will be shot & in what sequence) so the shoot goes smoothly.
Send me an email {see below} to start the conversation & obtain pricing. Please put your name, winery name & “Video” or “Aerial” in the subject line.
Let’s get strategic about capturing good photos.
Here are some things to be mindful of:
The best time of day for gentle outdoor lighting is early morning & afternoon, avoiding the hours of 10am-1pm.
Find some flexibility within your chosen week – actual shoot dates & times may vary within that week.
Each shoot package will take between 1- 3 hours from setup to teardown. Bottle shots add time to this.
A deposit of 50% is due when you book your packages & the remainder will be due after you’ve reviewed & chosen your photos and before they are released to you for download. Deposits are non-refundable BUT a shoot may be transferred to another winery in your region.

Your next step is to let me know of your interest & ask any questions you may have.
I’d like to have all registrations by June 30, but early bird gets the date!
